Hola! Cómo estás?

I’m Jorge Amaya, and if we haven’t met yet, there’s a good chance I’ll be your photographer soon! I just wanted to say thank you for considering me—working together would be an absolute honor, and I’m already excited to meet you.

A little about me: I’m originally from Honduras and was raised in Virginia. My dad introduced me to photography in my early teens. I instantly fell in love with the whole process, from lighting to posing to editing; everything I know, I’ve learned by doing, and it’s given me a deep love for capturing authentic moments. Whether we’re shooting headshots, commercial fitness images, portraits, or events of all sizes, I believe every session is a chance to create something unique—just for you.

For me, photography is much more than just taking pictures—it’s about making you feel comfortable and at ease and, most importantly, having fun while we’re at it!

I’m not just here to snap a photo; I’m here to make sure you feel like you’re in the hands of a friend. My goal is for the whole experience to feel natural, not rushed. I understand life is busy, so we’ll take breaks if you need them—grab a snack or do whatever you need. The time we spend together is all about you.

I’ve always believed that the best images happen when the environment is relaxed and welcoming, so I aim to create that every time we shoot together. We’ll let things flow naturally, with plenty of conversation and collaboration.

At the end of our session, I don’t want you to have “another photo” but a true reflection of who you are.
